“It was a great feeling to get back on the field with my teammates today,” said junior LB Anthony Gore, Jr. “We wanted to come prepared today and have a good mindset. The mentality is to be aggressive. Be aggressive in every drill and push each other to be better as we are getting close to our first game at Samford.”
The first day of practice included 24 periods, and the rest of the day included lunch, weights, dinner and team meetings.
Here’s a quick look at the Owls in action.
During the Big South Media Days, the Owls were voted as the co-favorites to win the conference. In 2016, KSU recorded an 8-3 overall record and cracked the Top 25 for the first time in school history.

Our goals are to win a championship and make the playoffs and those two are still right in front of us.”
The Owls will being the 2017 regular season on Aug. 31 when they travel to Samford. Their first home game will be on Sep. 9 vs. Tennessee Tech.
