KSU Owls Week 2 preview: Tennessee Tech

After suffering a tough defeat last Thursday vs. No. 19 Samford, the Owls play their first home game of the year on Saturday against Tennessee Tech. This will be the first time both schools will face each other on the football field.

Even though the Owls fell to Samford, they did a number of good things they will look to continue on Saturday night. The defense allowed only 70 rushing yards, which is the sixth time in 12 games the unit has allowed less than 100 yards on the ground. Also, The Owls outgained Samford in total yards (545-311) and running back Jake McKenzie led the way with three rushing touchdowns and 75 all-purpose yards. The Owls are facing a Tennessee Tech team that lost to No. 25 Western Illinois last weekend 41-14.
