MDJ- Commentary: Challenge for Kennesaw State starts now, not 2018
CUMBERLAND — Friday was a celebratory day for Kennesaw State as university representatives, along with those from the Atlanta Braves, announced that the Owls would play the first football game at SunTrust Park in November 2018.
Kennesaw State will play Jacksonville State, a Football Championship Subdivision power, in a game that could hopefully provide a playoff-style atmosphere prior to a potential FCS playoff appearance for the Owls.
Truth be told, Jacksonville State, the 2015 national runner-up, wasn’t the first choice as an opponent. Kennesaw State athletic director Vaughn Williams said they first looked at Mercer, among other schools, but the schedules could not match up…… Read More HERE
