Baseball Adds Another Commitment for 2018
Kennesaw State Baseball has gotten a commitment from Locust Grove OF Austin Moody.
Moody is a strong kid with some power. Owls fans can think of an athletic outfielder like an Alex Liquori, but it’s too soon to make any legitimate projections.
PerfectGame (December 2016): “Austin Moody is a 2018 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Locust Grove, GA who attends Locust Grove HS. Large athletic build, has good present strength with room for more, projects well physically. Right handed hitter, lift and replace load from an upright even stance, simple load and trigger, has hand quickness and develops bat speed, stays well balanced, short swing for his size, looks to work the middle of the field, flashed some leverage when pulling but works mostly gap to gap, repeats well, has the tools to keep developing as a hitter. 6.72 runner, works through the ball well, good actions and athleticism, has sound footwork,, long and loose arm action that projects, accurate on line throws. Also pitched, same long arm action, high 3/4’s arm slot, throws easy with downhill angle. Upper 70’s fastball, did not see an off speed pitch. Very interesting athlete. Good student.”
