Kennesaw State Football Kicks Off Second Week of Training Camp

The Kennesaw State football team kicked off its second week of 2017 Training Camp on Monday morning, donning full pads for the first time. Monday’s first drill “Owl Time,” was an intense five-minute period with full contact and blocking between two players and a running back – also known as the “Oklahoma Drill.”

With full pads on, the hitting picked up and the intensity increased during an energetic morning at The Perch. The 23-period practice was an up-temp workout that included 11-on-11 full-contact period, offensive and defensive work, and individual group work.

The Black and Gold continues the day with lunch, weights, team and position meetings and dinner. The Owls sixth practice of Training Camp is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.
