KSU Owls Week 3 Preview: Alabama State

The Kennesaw State Owls will travel to Montgomery, Alabama on Saturday to face the Alabama State Hornets. This will be the second time the Owls travel to the state of Alabama this year as they faced Samford in the season opener two weeks ago.

The Hornets (0-2) have struggled to start the year,  losing to Tuskegee and Troy. So far this season, the Hornets have averaged only 266 total offensive yards per game, and since 2015 the Hornets have won only one game in the month of September.

The Owls (1-1) are coming off a 27-14 victory over Tennesee Tech. They were led by running back Darnell Holland who rushed for 129 yards and one score. Linebacker Bryson Armstrong also had a strong performance, recording nine tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery which led to him winning Big South Conference Freshman of the Week.
